2nd Play-test Analysis

Play-test Feedback comments :

1st play-tester:

  1. Adding lights to the flames could better the lighting.
  2. There was nothing wrong with the sound.
  3. Floating bullets? Movement kept going after letting go. Can be fixed by changing Input.GetAxis to Input.GetAxisRaw, I think.
  4. Didn't know if all doors were openable with the one key card.

2nd play-tester:

  1. I think maybe if you darken the level a little bit, the lighting in the level will become more important and also create a more thrilling atmosphere.
  2. I think the sounds were good as they are!
  3.  The player moves a little bit after letting go of the button, but other than that it seems good!
  4. No other suggestions!

Observations from watching other play-testers :

The lighting is too dim overall.

Lots of wandering around due to getting lost.

Adding UI instructions would help certain friction points.

It would help if the card scanner would change color when it scans the keycard the player has.

Updates and Analysis -

Changes I have made since this play-test primarily involve the lighting and the floating bullets bug. The lighting was improved by adding lighting to the flames, and the floating bullets was fixed by scripting. Plans for the future involve replacing the flame effects with another asset pack, and adding UI elements. The UI will form the win condition of the game, and better inform the player on where to go throughout the level with popup instructions. Once these changes are made the final build of the first level will be complete. Lastly, I will do my best to figure out how to adjust the movement of the player.
